Field Permitting Information
Mills Pond Park is home to the City of Fort Lauderdale's Field Permit Office. The City of Fort Lauderdale requires a permit for use of the Bermuda grass athletic fields. If you are interested in renting out field space, please submit the Field Request Form at least four weeks before your event. Please send your completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pickup games are allowed on a variety of fields and open areas throughout the City during posted park hours without any permit requirement. For more information, contact the Field Permit Office at 954-828-8943, email

Adult Softball Leagues
Summer Softball Season Registration Dates: June 1- July 10
Summer Softball games begin the Week of July 20
Mills Pond Park offers a dynamic venue with three different levels of softball competition: competitive, intermediate and recreational. The divisions offered are Men’s, Women’s, Coed, and Corporate Coed. Season includes: 10-game regular season, playoffs for top four teams in each division, season and playoff champions team plaque, and individual awards, season runners-up team plaque. The softball complex is a state-of-the-art facility and truly, “The Place to Play!” Adult softball leagues are offered year-round. Softball Playoff Schedules
Single Sluggers Softball
Don't belong to a team? Bring your friends and meet other softball lovers on Monday nights for pickup softball. This NEW adult program allows participants without a softball team to register themselves for four weeks of fun! Each week will have a theme and the participants are encouraged to dress up to match it. Bring your own glove! Bats and 16" Clincher softballs will be provided. Men's Senior Softball
Relive your youth! Come out to Mills Pond to join fellow softball enthusiasts who enjoy the game. Play among new friends and old and hit it off with your fellow teammates too. All levels of play welcome but only men 50 years and older can join in and experience the benefits of senior softball.
When: Monday & Wednesday, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Thought you couldn’t play football anymore? Well think again! Get your squad together for Mills Pond Park’s 7-on-7 flag football leagues. We have divisions for everyone! The divisions offered: Men’s 1, Men’s 2, Coed and Women’s. Season includes: 10-game regular season, playoffs for the top four teams in each division, season and playoff champions team plaque, individual awards, and season runners-up team plaque. Adult flag football leagues are offered year-round except for the months of March, April, and May when our fields are closed for yearly maintenance. Come join the fun at our on and off-road tracks. Radio-controlled racing every Saturday night starting at 7 p.m. $10/member, $15/non-member. Practice on Wednesday nights starting at 5 p.m., $5 for everyone, ROAR sanctioned. For additional information, visit www.bcrcs.org.
Waterskiing in Fort Lauderdale at Mills Pond Park has never been more convenient. The Gold Coast Ski Club has actively operated and maintained its stewardship with the City of Fort Lauderdale since 1984. The lake is approximately one-half mile long, spring fed and contains 100-percent fresh water! The club regularly hosts special water sporting events with the City of Fort Lauderdale. Join the club and meet people who have a passion for the sport! As a member you will have access to the private boat ramp, fresh water lake, and at the same time enjoy all the amenities that Mills Pond Park has to offer. (Note: Memberships are yearly and you must be a USA Water Ski member to join.) Boat requirements are listed on the club website, but you don't have to own a boat to join!
