Precautionary Boil Water Notice & Traffic Advisory

Post Date:May 13, 2019 11:23 AM

City of Fort Lauderdale crews are completing emergency repairs to a water valve in the area of 1020 Ponce De Leon Drive.  Work will start at approximately 10:00 am and should be completed by 5:00 pm. Neighbors in the impacted area can expect low water pressure or water service interruption during this time.

As a precaution, the City of Fort Lauderdale, in consultation with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, is issuing a PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE to the below area highlighted on the map.

Properties that will be impacted: 915 to 1225 and 1301.

This “Precautionary Boil Water Notice” will remain in effect until bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink.

Residents are advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.  As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
