City of Fort Lauderdale residents and visitors can enjoy the scenic route and access destinations along the New River for FREE!
This service is brought to you by the City of Fort Lauderdale in partnership with Water Taxi of Fort Lauderdale and Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale.

- Huizenga Plaza/ Bubier Park
- Riverfront Plaza
- Esplanade Park
- Tarpon River
- New River Yacht Club
- Downtowner Saloon
- Smoker Park
The estimated wait time at any stop is 20 to 30 minutes. Please note that:
- There may delays due to New River Bridge operations
- Passengers can only board and alight at designated stops. If passenger is waving the Water Trolley or requesting to alight at a non-designated stop, the Captain may advise them to head to or wait until the closest stop to ensure that they can be picked-up or dropped off safely
Live Tracking
This Google map features the Water Trolley route along the Riverwalk and identifies the stop locations. Clicking the boat icon will provide you with the vessel's estimated time of arrival (ETA) at that stop. You can also click here to access a full-window view of the map. Vessel captain will only pick-up and drop-off passengers at these individual stops.
Web and Mobile App
You can track the real-time location of the vessel as well as plan your trip by clicking the links below. A web and mobile version of the trip planner is available. Passengers can use it to identify the stop nearest to them with information on how to access the stop and the vessel's ETA at the stop.
