Do you know your flood risk? The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Broward County are hosting Flood Risk Open Houses in communities throughout Broward County to help you learn about the newly updated flood maps. Community officials and FEMA representatives will be on hand to answer citizens’ questions about the maps, the mapping process, and flood insurance.

The flood risk open houses do not include a presentation. Attendees can drop by anytime during the three-hour window and should bring their elevation certificates, if possible. Attendees will receive one-on-one, property-specific support from engineers, insurance specialists, members of the mapping team, and more. All are welcome and we encourage you to share this invitation with others who may be interested in attending.
