Activities

  • Music, tribal art, and games
  • One-on-one opportunities to talk careers with amazing local leaders
  • Free food

Schedule

3-5 p.m.

  • Students work with instructors to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Common Black College Application and to learn Naviance. Prizes will be awarded for completed FAFSA and Common Black College applications. 
  • DJ James will be playing tunes, create your own tribal art, games, free food and prizes for completed applications.
  • Broward College, Florida International University, and local employers will be onsite.

5-7 p.m.

  • Meet and greet with local leaders – Learn about careers and leadership - Stichiz from 103.5 FM will emcee!

7-8 p.m.

  • Watch The Black Miami, an amazing documentary about the significance and history of blacks in South Florida. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Free popcorn provided.
