Family Fun Ride & Moonlight Movie in the Park

Bring your family, friends, bikes, picnic baskets, chairs, and blankets for a free night of outdoor activity and fun at the second Family Fun Ride & Moonlight Movie in the Park

Event Highlights and Details 

  • A casual 5-mile bike ride from Joseph C. Carter Park led by Fort Lauderdale police officers. (Helmets are required for participants 16 years old and younger; however, all participants are encouraged to wear helmets for their safety.)
  • Disney's family-friendly movie Big Hero 6 on the outdoor big screen with free popcorn and shaved ice
  • Free hot dogs and hamburgers, plus food vendor
  • Free bicycle registration, helmet giveaway, and helmet fittings (before 6 p.m.)
  • Bike Rodeo and bicycle safety activities
  • Free bicycle and helmet raffle
  • Donate used, unwanted bicycles. Recyclable Bicycle Exchange volunteers will fix up the bikes and donate them to local kids.
  • Parks & Recreation will have a limited number bikes available for children and adults on a first-come, first served basis.
  • Softball 911 community softball game with Fort Lauderdale Police Department (pre-registration required 954-200-1303)
