Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park, and Wilton Manors Team Up with Feeding South Florida to Host Weekly Drive-Thru Food Distributions

Thursdays from 9 to 11 a.m. at Mills Pond Park through May 27, 2021

Due to the ongoing need in our local community for essential groceries, the cities of Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park, and Wilton Manors will host weekly drive-thru food distributions on Thursday mornings from 9 - 11 a.m. at Mills Pond Park, located at 2201 NW 9 Avenue

Recipients are asked to arrive with their own empty box or container placed in the trunk of their vehicle so it can be filled with food as they pass through the distribution stations.

Produced in partnership with Feeding South Florida, the free events are intended to provide healthy and nutritious food to those who are most in need due to job loss, income loss, or the inability to cover their monthly expenses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis to the first 1,000 vehicles with a limit of one container of food per vehicle (while supplies last).

Recipients must remain in their vehicles and will be instructed to open their trunk when volunteers are ready to load it.

To access the event, enter Mills Pond Park from southbound NW 9 Avenue.

Please note that Thursday, May 27, 2021 will be the last day of the food distribution at Mills Pond Park.
