The Teen Summit is an initiative to foster positive growth in the lives of at-risk teenagers in Fort Lauderdale
through a series of workshops that discuss topics such as life skills and critical preventive strategies against
gang violence and substance abuse. A major component is the Interaction with Police session. It is designed to not only
foster positive attitudes towards law enforcement, but also to decrease the rate of crimes committed by juveniles,
specifically burglaries, in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The event is designed to inform, educate, and make our
youth aware of important information that is critical to their success.
