Challenge Air Fly Day Offers Free Plane Rides for Children with Special Needs

Fort Lauderdale children with special needs will have the opportunity to experience the wonders of flight at the 2017 Challenge Air Fly Day event at Banyan Air Service, located at 5360 N.W. 20th Terrace, Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport – Hangar 60. This free, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is set for Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children who want to participate must register in advance by Thursday, January 26, 2017. Walk-ons will not be accepted.

Children participating in the event will be treated to 30-minute rides in single-engine planes flown by volunteer pilots pdf donating their time and services to the event. In addition to the free flights, children will enjoy other activities including a static aircraft display, face painting, clowns, hands-on educational activities related to flight, arts and crafts, food, music, games and much more.
