Update: Precautionary Boil Water Notice LIFTED

The City of Fort Lauderdale, in consultation with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, is LIFTING the February 5th precautionary boil water notice that was issued following a planned hydrant replacement at 5601 Bayview Drive.
The maintenance has been completed and bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink.

ORIGINAL RELEASE: Precautionary Boil Water Notice
Effective Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 2:30 p.m.
City of Fort Lauderdale will be performing a planned hydrant replacement at 5601 Bayview Drive on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 2:30 PM. Water service will be interrupted from 9:00 AM and restored at 2:30 PM.
As a precaution, the City of Fort Lauderdale, in consultation with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, is issuing a PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE effective at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 5 to the area highlighted on the map:
This “Precautionary Boil Water Notice” will remain in effect until bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink.
Residents are advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
