Fort Lauderdale - The 2nd Annual Color Run returns to the streets of Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, May 10, 2014. Motorists are encouraged to carefully review the listed road closures and should expect traffic delays from 6:00 A.M. until approximately 11:00 A.M.
The race is tentatively scheduled to begin at 7:30 A.M. Race organizers are expecting approximately 7,000 runners and walkers to participate in this year’s event.
Street Closures and Detours
3:00 A.M. to Noon
- East Las Olas Boulevard will be closed from Andrews Avenue to Southeast 3rd Avenue. Las Olas River House traffic will be allowed intermittent access when needed.
6:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
- Southeast 1st Avenue will be closed from Southeast 2nd Street to Huizenga Plaza.
- Eastbound traffic on Broward Boulevard will be merged into a single lane beginning at the intersection of Southwest 3rd Avenue.
- Southbound traffic on Federal Highway, at the intersection of Broward Boulevard, will be detoured west onto Broward Boulevard and then south onto Northwest 7th Avenue.
- Eastbound and westbound traffic on Davie Boulevard, between South Federal Highway and Southeast 3rd Avenue, will be merged into single lanes.
- Northbound and southbound traffic on Southeast 3rd Avenue, between Davie Boulevard and Southeast 6th Street, will also be merged into single lanes.
All listed detours and closures are projected to reopen and return to normal operations at 11:00 A.M.
