The BBID's primary focus is to promote and market the Fort Lauderdale Beach as a premier tourist destination. They do that by supporting events and activations in the general boundaries along State Road A1A between Sunrise Boulevard to the north and Harbor Drive to the south.
The BBID's sponsored website highlights beach businesses, hotels, restaurants and upcoming events.
Visit the website to find exciting things to do, places to stay and delicious food and drink options at the Fort Lauderdale Beach.
The Beach Business Improvement District (BBID) Advisory Committee was created in 2007 to make recommendations on services, enhancements, special programs and events on the beach. The BBID is comprised of commercial properties fronting on SR A1A, from Harbor Drive North to Sunrise Boulevard.
All BBID Committee members are appointed by the City Commission and serve without compensation for a one-year term beginning upon appointment by the City Commission at a Regular Agenda City Commission meeting in September of each year with no term limit. BBID Committee Alternates may be appointed at any time by the City Commission.
BBID Advisory Committee Meeting Dates: The BBID meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. Monthly BBID meeting details may be viewed on City of Fort Lauderdale event calendar online.
You can access BBID Advisory Committee roster, meeting agendas, and minutes online.
In 2023 BBID started using foot traffic data to identify trends and gain insight about the impact of events held on the beach.
