Crews working for All Aboard Florida, the express, intercity passenger rail service owned by Florida East Coast Industries, will temporarily close several intersections throughout downtown Fort Lauderdale in order to work on sections of the railroad tracks as the next step in preparation for the construction of the 60,000-square foot station and platform.

Fort Lauderdale, FL – The City of Fort Lauderdale will temporarily reduce N.E. 13th Street to two lanes between N.E. 7th Avenue and Progresso Drive for an on-street parking analysis as part of the N.E. 13th Street Complete Streets Project. The City will begin installing temporary delineator bars, or short vertical plastic posts, to mark off parking areas on both sides of N.E. 13th Street beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 7 a.m. Installation is expected to be complete Thursday, May 21, 2015, and the analysis will end Tuesday, May 26, 2015. There is no cost to use the on-street parking.

The Florida Department of Health in Broward County and Save-a-Lot food stores invite the community to a free health fair and family fun event on Saturday, May 16, 2015. The Health Fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Save-a-Lot store located at 510 N.W. Seventh Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
