The City of Fort Lauderdale's Transportation and Mobility Department invites all  City of Fort Lauderdale residents to apply online for our Resident Parking Rate Program. This program is designed to provide a special rate for neighbors while parking in City parking lots, garages, and on-street spaces using PayByPhone. The rate does not apply when paying at a parking meter. No in-person or mail-in applications will be accepted.

Please note upon approval of application the Resident Rate will be enabled for your license plate(s) within four to five business days in your PaybyPhone app. If additional information is needed, we will contact you directly.

All online applications must include the following documents (.PDF, .JPG, or .PNG):

• Copy of your driver’s license
• Copy of your vehicle registration, maximum of four.
• Proof of Residential property ownership in the City of Fort Lauderdale or a copy of a current lease or rental agreement that reflects the property address in the City of Fort Lauderdale. 

After you apply online:

• Please allow time for processing. The Parking Services team will review your application and notify PayByPhone to activate your special resident rate.
• You will be contacted if any additional information is needed to confirm your residency.
• If you have any questions or would like to check on the status of your application, please contact the City of Fort Lauderdale Call Center Monday - Sunday, 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. at (954) 828-8000 or ParkingResidentRate@fortlauderdale.gov.  
• Once your application is approved, you’ll automatically receive the resident rate when you use PayByPhone to pay for parking for an approved vehicle.
• To receive the special resident rate, all residents must reapply and submit proof of residency every year from the date of their initial application.
• The applicant's name shall appear on the required documentation.
