Open House Meeting in the Commission Chambers, on the 1st floor of City Hall

6:00 - 6:45 p.m. - Presentations on City's resiliency initiatives
6:45 - 7:30 p.m. - View displays, ask questions

Open House presentations and displays will show how the City is addressing resiliency in the following areas:

  • Comprehensive planning
  • Design and construction of public spaces
  • Parks
  • Stormwater management
  • Transportation and mobility
  • Wastewater treatment

With seven miles of shoreline, 300 miles of canal coastline, a flat topography, and shallow, porous aquifer, Fort Lauderdale is vulnerable to the effects of climate change and sea level rise. Through the citywide visioning process, residents told us they want to create a resilient and safe coastal community. Learn about the comprehensive approach the City is taking to strengthen resilience and bring the community vision to fruition.

Please note that one or more City of Fort Lauderdale Commissioners may be in attendance at the Open House meeting.
