The Florida Parking Association (FPA) presented the City of Fort Lauderdale with an Award of Merit for the renovation of Cox’s Landing 15th Street Boat Launch during the 2014 Awards of Excellence ceremony, which took place at the 35th Annual Florida Parking Association Conference and Trade Show on Thursday, December 4, 2014 in Fort Myers, FL.

Come out and experience E. Las Olas Boulevard and the downtown area in a whole new way…on bike, on foot, with a stroller, on a skateboard, on rollerblades, or any other way besides in a car at Open Streets Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, November 23, 2014. Open Streets Fort Lauderdale, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will turn nearly one mile of E. Las Olas Boulevard, between S. Andrews Avenue and S.E. 15th Avenue, into a car-free recreational “playground” where people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds can participate in activities that draw attention to pedestrian safety and healthy lifestyles.
